On this episode of Rehash, we’re talking with Jon Hillis, Co-Founder of Cabin DAO. Cabin DAO is a community for web3 creators and an experiment in decentralized cities. It started as just a group of friends in a cabin in the woods, and has evolved into a highly organized, yet ever-changing DAO. 

We kick off the episode getting to know Jon, his background, and how he got into web3. We learn about his experience working in web2, and how that inspired him to co-create Cabin. We discuss the nuances of building a DAO, and Jon gives us some tips for DAO success as well as some red flags to watch out for. 

We close up the episode talking about some buried treasure, and a fractionalized steer.
